Snow & Other Activities

Winter activities:

Sleigh Rides
Whether you want a romantic winter adventure for two or a fun family outing, a horse-drawn sleigh ride is the perfect way to see Park City. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Rocky Mountains as you glide across a winter wonderland.
Faster than two skis, more thrills than a half-pipe, Park City offers the maximum in snowmobiling excitement. Let one of our touring companies guide you on a picturesque ride, with Rocky Mountain views only accessible via snowmobile. You'll have fun and learn to ride safely, while enjoying the beautiful environment around you.
Snowshoeing in Park City
You don't have to go far to view the snow-capped Rocky Mountain peaks as Mother Nature intended. Park City has hundreds of miles of trails (many of them groomed for you by the Mountain Trails Foundation) perfect for snowshoeing. Strap on some snowshoes and experience these trails first-hand while getting a great workout at the same time. Snowshoeing is a great activity for all ability levels.
Park City Ice Skating
The Park City Ice Arena is nestled in the hillsides of Park City. Built in 2006, it's a wonderful addition to all of the winter activities Park City has to offer. Gather friends and family for an afternoon or evening of fun on the ice.
Cross Country Skiing
Cross-country skiing combines the benefits of aerobic exercise with the tranquility of the Rocky Mountains. Before there was the thrill of alpine skiing, there was the serenity of cross-country. Park City offers several options for beginners and experts in this demanding and fulfilling sport. Try out our groomed trails or take a custom tour under the Rocky Mountain skyline.
Snow Tubing
Looking for a fun activity the whole family can enjoy? Tubing is great for kids and for those who want to act like one. Lifts take you back to the top of the tubing lanes so you can enjoy the ride down without all the work. Most lanes are lighted, making tubing a great activity after the sun goes down.
Heli and Cat Skiing
Want the ultimate skiing adventure away from the crowds in the driest powder on earth? Try out heli-skiing or cat skiing, taking you into the virgin snow of the backcountry - this is the skiing experience of a lifetime.
Hot Air Ballooning
If you really want to see Park City, try it from a few thousand feet up. Rise to the elevation of the beautiful Wasatch Mountains, and ride gently above it all. A hot air balloon ride will take your breath away.
Park City Fly Fishing
In Park City, you're never far from a crystal-clear river or stream. Grab some waders and a pole, and spend an afternoon-or a week-tapping your line across the cool mountain waters. Go out on your own or with one of our experienced guides. Utah anglers seeking "the big one" will be thrilled with the variety of big fish in the nearby Provo and Weber Rivers.  A Park City, Utah fly fishing trip can be organized any time of year with the help of knowledgeable guides who are ready to teach the secrets of lading that blue-ribbon trout.
Think fishing is only a summer sport?  Winter is also a great fly fishing experience.  Trout are hungry all year and as a result there can be some great winter fishing opportunities.
